I have a big problem with my laptop:
Today I restarted and updated my laptop. When he was back on a lot was reset. Most programs are still there but a few are no longer there. Otherwise everything is as if I had bought a completely new laptop and had to set it up again.
After that I first set up everything from scratch, downloaded all the missing programs and even redesigned my desktop background as before.
When I logged off this time and turned my laptop back on about an hour later, everything was reset.
After switching on and off and setting up again several times, the problem exists.
What should I do now?
Reinstall Windows.
Except for deleted system logs, this will not work.
The whole thing sounds more like a Windows version upgrade instead of a normal update. That fits with the statement that umpteen programs are no longer there.
