I attend the Q1 at a high school and have been thinking for some time about buying an IPad 10.2 with the Apple pen, of course, to simplify my school life and to do my work everywhere.

my parents are not enthusiastic about it. They say that if I now buy an iPad, I will use it for the university and the iPad there's not the demands in its functions
In short, they say that the iPad Vlt is enough for everyday use but not for the university, because I apparently can't make power point presentations etc and that limits me.
They think that I will regret it and then they will not later provide me with the money to move from the iPad to another model or laptop.
They mean a laptop would be much better and smarter but I'm not crazy and buy something expensive or pay my parents but me anyway. In my opinion, the iPad keeps up very well and generally write down the notes and I like the creative design of notes.
How can I convince them? Pros and cons?
Hi, I can clearly understand your point that you find the IPad better. Only I find a laptop in the end a better purchase, when it comes to the work in the school and the university.
I can deduce it all from my own experience:
I thought to myself that a tablet would be incredibly practical, because basically I also like to work fast and a tablet almost acts like a notebook.
Only then did I quickly realize that it is easier to write with a proper keyboard and it is generally easier to have a stable laptop keyboard than a rickety tablet keyboard.
In addition, one can also say that a laptop or a real PC halt was also made for reasonable work. A tablet, on the other hand, is just a fancy tool for drawing and watching Netflix.
And if your only argument is that you like to take notes on your iPad, you might as well take a laptop or a real notebook. Because for such a reason alone the IPad would be a real waste of money.
