I want to connect the laptop and the television so that the picture from the laptop runs on the television.
I just tried the whole thing with an HDMI cable, but no picture appears.
And in the display settings of the laptop I can't find whether the cable was recognized at all…
Some HDMI cables can only be plugged in on one side, i.e. One side must always be on the PC and the other side on the television. Try to plug it in the other way around.
Or use a different cable or a different hdmi port on the television.
and even if it sounds stupid, you have to change the source on the television of course
