As you can already read above, I'm doing a school education as a real estate agent at a private school.
I applied for student loans on September 7th, 2020 and I will receive student loans from February 1st, 2021.
The training started on September 17th, 2020 and I was relatively good at it, I did very well and so on and immediately, in December we had 2 corona cases in the family and we had to stay at home for 2 weeks because of my brother my Papa Corona and we had to sit in quarantine at home again until the end of December.
From December on I was often absent from online classes and was only rarely online because unfortunately I don't have a laptop and everything doesn't always work so well on the cell phone, today I received an email that 33% of the time I was not there, and I became invited to a conversation.
what happens now with the Bafög office do I have to pay a fine or something? Because until now we have paid everything out of our own pocket and, as I said, I will only get student loans from 02/01/2021, do I have to pay a fine or something?
what's happening now?
Why do you only get your Bafög six months after starting school?
Why was the first half of the year not approved?
How can you make sure you attend online classes?
The application for Bafög takes a long time and I was very often in the online class but because of a couple of circumstances it didn't work anymore and then I got this email today that I was 33% missing and I wanted to ask if I have to pay a fine or so?!
It is not clear to me whether you will receive the Bafög payment on February 10th or whether it will only be approved from February 1st.
You have to know how you want to participate in the future.
You may have to hand in the BAföG again if you were wrong.
Ok, thank you very much and yes, I will receive student loans from 02/01/2021 so 355 euro,
but i don't have to pay a fine or anything because i missed 33% right?
I do not know that. You obviously didn't understand my question. If you do not go to school, the school is obliged to report this to the Bafögamt.
