In my room I have bad Wi-Fi. Or reception. The phone needs to load pages… If I'm on Steam with laptop something down late I have maybe 120kb / s… Or 50kb / s… Youtube Videos load jerky with 144p… Or forever.
When I go to my parents' living room, I suddenly get Steam 5,5mb / s or more. Youtube then loads Hq.
Are there any tricks? That always annoys…
There's bathroom and kitchen in between… With lots of concrete and steel.
Network cable laid and behind it a wireless router
Use Wi-Fi Repeater
Use powerline
Use W-Lan repeaters in the correct positions.
Or unplug the LAN cable and then use an access point for the phone in one location.
I do not recommend D-Lan / Powerline.
Go to YouTube and watch for Wi-Fi.
There's something with an aluminum foil.
And then do I build a hat made of aluminum foil?
Cable falls flat.
Why?
Because we have dogs and the cable at unfavorable places must pass.
Yes that makes sense, would not it be possible to lay a ribbon cable behind the baseboards?
There are none that you can take off.
What do you have for a router? Is it by chance a Fritzbox? Then you can take wonderfully the repeater of AVM. But it actually works every W-Lan repeater.
Set up where the W-Lan reception is as good as possible and then the signal is extended.
Alternative is, if the router has simply too weak W-Lan to deactivate this and an access point next to it which can deliver clearly better W-Lan (depending on the model, but can't recommend a special) and the W-Lan then only to be spread over it. Often these are better than the already existing router.
