I would like to test Word or Office 2010, but unfortunately I do not know how and where I can download it. As I said I would like to pay for nothing, but if it does not work then I would spend something. Oh, and I have a Windows 10 laptop Microsoft, if it helps.
It would be very nice if someone could help me further.
There are also similar free programs like Office. For example, Libre office
Microsoft Office does not come for free, but here you can get it cheap: https://www.licensequeen.com/collections/office-2016/products/office-2016-home-student This is the Home & Student version. This license is intended for home users, students, apprentices and students. It is valid without time limit and is not approved for commercial purposes. Consists of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.
This version is so cheap because it is an OEM version. OEM versions are full versions bundled with computers. A supreme court ruling has decided that you can buy or sell these cheap OEM versions separately.
That's just the product key. You will receive it after payment together with the download link via e-mail. After installation and activation, this license will be stored in your Microsoft account. If you have to reinstall sometime, you can always reactivate.
In 2019, it would be useless to test Office 2010. Generally, trial licenses are limited in time.
Since Office 2010 there's the ribbon menu.
An alternative to Office is Softmaker. Here you can buy the software as a subscription. Or a license for the current year version. There's then no update to Softmaker Office 2020 ff.
Before that, I would advise you to the free version of Softmaker. It is exactly the one free version that can handle xlsx, docx, pptx. Hereby reading and writing. There are also the 3 modules word processing, spreadsheet, presentation. My dad goes down well with the Free Version.
Give a FreeOffice Softmaker.
It's a slimmed down version of Softmaker. Where I find the price of the current Jahresversions license still acceptable with well below 100 Eur. Contrary to the subscription prices.
