How do I get the view on my laptop back to normal?

Could it be that you have activated tablet mode?

You have activated the tablet view. Click on the icon at the bottom right, then you should see "Tablet mode" in blue - if you click on it, it is deactivated.

Go to the notification logo and everything will be there. So the logo at the bottom right.

You simply have to deactivate the tablet mode, to do this you have to click on the small speech bubble symbol at the bottom right and then switch off the tablet mode.
