NVIDIA driver can't be downloaded (error message)?

When I tried to install the driver for NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 on my very old laptop with Windows 7 64 bit I got the error message "Setup has determined that the operating system used is not Windows Vista (32bit) / 7 (64bit)". But the operating system is windows 7 64 bit. How can that be and how can I solve it

The drivers are only for Win Vista 32 bit and Win7 32 bit. You have a 64bit system. That's why it doesn't work.
