Since I'm more familiar with gaming, or gaming PCs etc., I wanted to ask what is better for seniors. Do you mean z. B. An I pad or the laptop?
So when I look at the problems my parents (not yet senior citizens, both around 60) have with smartphones…
None of my grandparents had a smartphone, either they died before this age or were / are more than overwhelmed even with a button cell phone.
Keys are easier to press than to type on the screen.
Anything but a laptop.
Should be best touch.
Would recommend an iPad.
Possibly. Do I have to say that my grandparents are not exactly overwhelmed with technology, but neither are they really the best…
Well, my grandparents are not overwhelmed, but neither are they experts
It depends:
How technology are they enthusiastic about new users? Or how much understanding of technology is there?
what should it be used for?
In general, my parents are not overwhelmed with technology either. And yet my father has problems typing on his smartphone and switching mobile internet on / off or sending photos. And my mother actually once firmly asserted that everyone knows that you can watch films on Wikipedia…
They find their way around the computer much better, hence the advice…
As I said, touch is probably best.
Well then: There's already a desktop PC with Windows 10, but they are also looking for mobile technologies. A smartphone should be excluded, as both already have one, but can only make calls. The device to be purchased should also be suitable for office and have at least 8GB RAM. I also believe that at least 4 USB ports should be included, but that is not so important. In conclusion: Both of them are familiar with Windows 10, but they also know IOs from my iPad, macs tend not to find them that good.
I'm waiting for the complete decision anyway.
Yes, that's the way it is. My grandparents (mostly my grandma) are a little more interested in this anyway.
Stupid question, but why can you "only make calls"? A tablet is a bigger smartphone. So if you can only make phone calls, a tablet doesn't make sense. And if you already have a PC, why have a laptop?
Thing: No, tablets have larger displays and are also better suited for office use. 2nd thing: # mobility
To 1: I tell you. Tablets are larger smartphones. The keyword was BIGGER. So bigger displays. But again, if you can only make phone calls on your smartphone, why should you be able to use a tablet? That makes no difference (except for the size).
To 2: Mobile yes, but who always lugs a laptop around with them? The tablet makes more sense. Or do the two have to do any elaboration? On the other hand, they can't operate the tablet / smartphone, but rather the laptop.
And the two have probably already deleted the internet ;-)
Something like that.
These are always nice calls when the weather has mysteriously disappeared from the start screen and the mobile phone suddenly has no sound…
No, either tablet / I pad OR laptop. My grandparents also have small cell phones, my grandma has a Samsung Galaxy S5mini
My grandma and grandpa are architects, so they also need mobile technology
Ah. Now we're getting on.
Then a laptop (for the architect) makes more sense.
The only thing I would give to my grandpa (who has never had a smartphone or anything like that) would be a smartphone for seniors.
An example of this would be Doro.
As I already wrote, you already know about TECHNIK
Depends on.
Doesn't help me any more, just tell me. As you might. If you have already read a prescription, she needs it for office
The quality of the answer reflects the quality of the question.
I'm not going to read through other answers and comments to find out what you want to know.
Well, you don't have an answer to my question, so you don't have to answer either
