Why does my AV Receiver Pioneer vsx 325 sound so dull?

Since it has already shot me the 4th control unit of the Logitech Z906 (switching all the way through the channels wildly) I've now got me an AV receiver for 500 euro. But one bothers me abysmally to the thing, I connected it via HDMI to my laptop and went to the entrance to the entrance Gaming. Everything funzt perfectly, only the sound sounds very dull. Above all, you notice that when you play movies, music or games quieter. Somehow, then he swallowed a lot. However, if I turn the receiver up on the volume and in Windows, the sound becomes clearer. Now my question, what can that be? I tried so many settings, nothing helped.

Can it be due to the HDMI cable? Or is the receiver not clear with a quiet volume?

The more probable explanation is that the Logitech Z06 budget set of dumbbells work with non-hi-fi compliant impedances and are thus not suitable for proper AV receivers despite the use of a terminal connection.

Another possibility is that the Logitech set's one-way speakers need an amplifier with a heavily distorted frequency response to somehow simulate a hi-fi like sound due to the constructive midrange and treble weakness.

I'm afraid that you have to bend your AV receiver for the low volumes, as far as possible, and then bypass the sound control at higher volumes via pass through function.

There were also boxes in the VSX325. However, they also sounded dull. I'm afraid that the receivers will not manage that.
Have already scoured so many forums, in German and English. But sonically, not much has changed.

If you browse the manual (works best in PDF), you will find the function Midnight / Loudness, which adjusts the sound for low volumes:

This is necessary with almost all amplifiers if you hear very quietly. Otherwise, the receiver should still have various customization options.
