I'm an absolute layman when it comes to laptops and that kind of thing, so I need advice!
I'm looking for a laptop / notebook
The things that would be important to me:
good battery life
CD / DVD drive
it doesn't have to be a mega gaming laptop, but the performance should be enough for Sims 3 / Spore (both games from 2009)
Price: so up to max. 900 euro
No Apple or Microsoft please, even if that is not represented in this price range anyway

It's not a bad device, but the CPU will probably not have the steam to clean the GPU. And "only" 8GB RAM for the price is a bit meager… Somehow.
For what the questioner intends to do with it, you could say that ideal. Of course, 8gb ram isn't much. But I would even say 8gb ram + 6gb vram are better than 16gb ram + 4gb vram. With 8gb ram you can even play cyberpunk 2077, what more could you want?
