I would like to connect my gaming laptop to my streaming PC. But somehow I can't get the picture of the gaming laptop into my capture card (Elgato Capture Card HD60 S +). To see whether the problem is with the external capture card or the gaming laptop, I simply pulled the HDMI cable out of the gaming laptop and plugged it into my PS4 and lo and behold, a picture.

So now I ask myself: why am I not getting a picture from the gaming laptop?

Does anyone know?

You have to tell your laptop that it should output the same image again on the HDMI output.

To do this, press [Win] + [P] and choose Duplicate Screen

I have now done that and now this is displayed to me. (

Your image output is set to 100Hz.

Right click on the desktop and go to the display settings. There you can set the refresh rate. 60Hz is the maximum that is supported by the elgato.
