I want to get a gaming monitor with 144hz, but my gaming laptop that I want to connect it to has no display port connection and with hdmi I also don't get 144hz. Now I want to get a Usb-c to Displayport cable. However, I would probably need an adapter for this, because I only have 1x Usb 2.0 Type-A and 2 Usb 3.2 Gen. 1 Type-A. Now my 2 questions: Can I plug the Usb-C connection from the Usb-C Displayport cable into one of the Usb sockets and thus get 144hz? If not, it works with a USB-C adapter and what do I have to pay attention to? Thank-you
Unfortunately that is not possible.
USB TYPE C is not the same as USB TYPE.
The most common standard does not support screen sharing.
144hz would only be possible if the laptop could do it
