To put it in more detail: I would like to buy a powerful notebook and I was made an offer for a used 17 inch One k73-5n. The equipment: Geforce 970m, i7 4790 3.6 GHz, 16Gb RAM, 250Gb SSD, 2 x 1 Tb HDD.

A fixed price was not mentioned yet, but around 1,300 euro. I did some research and came across a review from 2013, here the link https://www.notebookcheck.net> One-K…

One K73-5N (Clevo P771ZM) Notebook Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

Here the price is given as 2229 euro.

Although I have no presentable computer skills, but for me the equipment looks contemporary.

Back to my question, is it worth buying, is the price right? Please only answer if you are from the subject.

Ja

I strongly advise against it

Notebooks have when it comes to gaming only disadvantages disadvantages without end so do not worry…

The hardware is outdated and most current games are no longer running on it

For 2229 euro, the laptop is not great! At the time these were perhaps still the ultra-high-end components, but today there are more up-to-date high-end cards and CPUs that are stronger, usually cheaper, use less power, etc. In addition, a desktop CPU is installed on your laptop, which needs more power (less battery life) and cooling, which is not suitable for a laptop.

The price seems to me quite expensive even then, today there are much better models for the same price.

Honestly, I would not put over 1000 euro on the table for a used notebook of a low cost manufacturer.

The hardware is pretty good, albeit a couple of years old, but if after a few months the display or the keyboard gives up, that does not help you much.

Buying used is in itself ok, I also like to do. But with the price range, I would only buy from a commercial seller with a one-year warranty, not from a private individual with no return option. And a branded device, not a cheap brand.

Alright, your opinions are pretty clear, thanks to everyone.
