I just bought a really cool gaming PC yesterday.
After setting it up, I noticed that I only get a 20 Mbit / s download…
On my old laptop I always had more than 60 Mbit / s.
And yes, everything is the same. Same cable, same modem, same provider, same subscription, same speed test, same everything. (Except the PC stop)
The new PC is actually better than the old one in every way, it shouldn't be the hardware…
Could it be that something is configured incorrectly?
If you need more information, I'm of course available.
Oh and the upload is still the same, at 9 Mbit / s…
If that's important…
Have you tried a LAN cable yet?
Could it be that besides your new PC, other "new devices" have also been added? Other people have also received Christmas presents and want to try them out! Since you probably have a DSL connection, I have to tell you that the bandwidth gets smaller and smaller the more people are online at the same time - especially those around you have an impact on your bandwidth.
I would put performance first in the settings and less on energy consumption.
Please don't become abusive straight away! Some people sometimes don't read correctly, it happens to me sometimes too, but Anonymous011900 is definitely not responsible for your problem!
Nope, I tried it on the laptop today, the download was at 55 Mbit / s
It's already done
What are the bandwidth values delivered by the provider and what is the name of the contract package? So that it is clear from the start which speeds we're talking about.
60 Mbit / s are included in the package. Under the same circumstances, my laptop achieves 60 Mbit / s, the PC only 20. The motherboard supports downloads of up to 1 Gbit / s. And yes, everything is the same. So really everything. I can take the cable, plug it into the laptop and I get 60 Mbit / s, then I plug it into the computer and I get 20 Mbit / s. I'm a bit haphazard now, because I can't find any settings in the settings that would limit the download speed.
