Logitech G430 headset microphone does not work, what to do?

I bought the Logitech G430 headset about 1 1/2 years ago and it worked perfectly until a few days ago. After a reset from my computer, the microphone does not pick up my voice. I have the software installed (and also updated to the latest version) and nothing has changed. Surround sound is enabled, set as the default device, not muted, and set to DVD quality in the properties. I tested the headset on my laptop, but the microphone did not work there either. I do not know if it's normal, but even when my microphone worked, you heard a faint noise, if it is not mute. What's happening?

Can it be that you have just muted the switch for micro on the cable?
