Micro on even though I'm muted?

If I wear headphones during a team meeting and are muted, my headphone mike is off, right? Not that only the laptop microphone is off and you can hear me through my headphone microphone. My concerns don't make sense, do they? I can actually answer the question myself, but I kind of need that confirmation

If you have headphones on and which are connected to your pc or mobile phone and your mobile phone or PC have integrated microphones, both microphones are deactivated

In teams only one microphone is active, depending on which one you have set and that is exactly what is muted.

When it calms you down, you can right-click on the loudspeaker symbol in the lower right corner of the taskbar

Select sounds

and then in the Recording Devices tab deactivate all microphones that you do not want to use.
