I plan to use a laptop on 2 monitors. Since I have to take the laptop with me every day, it would be good to have a docking station to which I can connect the laptop as quickly as possible every day without having to plug in all sorts of cables.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything about the topic and therefore do not know whether there's anything or which docking station is good for this. Budget doesn't matter, it should work reliably on a daily basis. Laptops and monitors are also bought.
The laptop should be dockable. These are available from professional office laptops such as Lenovo (ThinkPad series) or other manufacturers.
There are also universal docking stations, but I have no experience with them and the reviews on the Internet are very divided (delays, compatibility problems).
However, that alone is not enough. The graphics card installed in it must be able to handle several monitors. So here you should look for the specifications of the graphics card that will be installed in your future laptop.

Can any graphics card… You manage your monitors with Windows.
I'm currently using a Microsoft SurfaceGo with the original docking station. This means that two-screen operation with display on the tablet and independent screen is possible in any case. The docking station has two connections for monitors (both mini display ports), so that two separate screens should also work, then possibly without the tablet display. The docking station is compatible with all Surface devices. My daughter has the SurfaceBook2, so it works fine too.
But if your laptop only has an iGPU or something similar, it can get tight with its 3 monitors… As a rule, today's graphics cards can. But control is better, since we don't know where the questioner wants to buy the laptop (e.g. Used or from a discounter?).

"Computers with iGPUs such as https://www.pcwelt.de/ratgeber/Mehrere-Bildschirme-anschliessen-und-nutzen-so-geht-s-unter-Windows-10-5038118.html # HD Graphics or AMD Radeon can usually easily control two monitors in parallel. If you have a graphics card in your computer, you have more video interfaces available. But not every socket can be plugged into a monitor. For example Older or very cheap Nvidia graphics cards can only control two screens, even though they provide three connections. But since there are many different graphics models, especially for complete PCs, you should check your graphics solution with the free tool https://www.pcwelt.de/...59948.html and make yourself smart on the Internet how many monitors can be connected. However, current graphics cards from the Geforce and AMD Radeon series can easily compete with at least three monitors. "
Yes, 2 monitors, as you copied beautifully 🙂
3… Because his laptop monitor also counts.
