A free upgrade to Win 10 should still be possible, at least I can also enter my 3 Win 7 product keys for Win 10. It works wonderfully for me. You have to look for the Media Creation Tool and then you can use it to download an ISO or create a bootable USB stick with which you can install Win 10. Then you need the product key. Before doing so, find out whether your key works. Otherwise you end up with a Win 10 without a key.
