Cheated by girlfriend - now complaint for data theft?

I have the following problem. My girlfriend cheated on me, I found out on her laptop via Whastappweb. I did not log in with your cell phone, it was already active.

After I confronted her, the mother announced that she wanted to report me for stealing data. Is she right that I have committed a crime? The data was freely accessible to me, I didn't have to take any further steps, except to go to Whatsappweb.de.

I would be very grateful for any help.

As far as I can see, there's no criminal offense, since for the offense of spying on data, overcoming an access security feature is a constituent feature, which did not take place here.

ga

Did you have permission to sniff around in the strange device? Apparently not.

What you give as reasons for yourself is ridiculous. You had no business in that part.

Just like this: is it trespassing when people come into your apartment just because the door is not locked? They use your toothbrush and other things too. Everything is still there, because they didn't steal.

I think it won't be a data theft as a criminal offense, but it will be something else.

fe

How exactly did you get the data? Please describe in detail, ideally complete the question. Were you allowed to use your laptop, was that agreed beforehand?

ma

Omg what kind of mother is that… Your girlfriend has cheated on you! What kind of a deal is that! To threaten you with it.
like Mother like daughter! I'm very sorry that this happened to you. Be threatened. Don't go into it. This leads to nothing.
The threat leads nowhere - you have not used any spy apps, you have not published any data and thus committed character assassination, or hacked anything. She can threaten as much as she wants, but that has no hand and foot in court.

You should break up and all you can do is shake your head about this family.

Sk

Did your girlfriend give you permission to control their chats? I don't think so, do I?

Oc

We have several laptops that we all use together. The laptop where I found the things was my work laptop before

Oc

No of course not, but is it then data theft?

Re

I agree!

Oc

We both used the device before, I just looked at the sky

fe

Please describe in detail

and now?

Oc

Of course, I broke up immediately. I never thought something like that would happen to me.

Sk

Unless it has been specially secured, no.

Oc

And now I only use it to watch Sky, it's her work laptop now, but my work stuff is still on it.

It's easy to get out of the number: Never again say a word to another person about how you found it out and never admit it!

It is already completely impossible to prove something to you because it stands testimony against testimony. Officially, you noted something to her and she then admitted it when you confronted her with your gut feeling. You can't prove otherwise.

ma

Very good! The best thing to do is to tell your new partner in the future so that she can deal with it with understanding, in case you become jealous of her in an unjustified way 💪 I wish you all the best!

Oc

Thank you so much!
