my laptop has again made any updates unsolicited and since then I can't change the direction he re-switched scroll direction, which I had previously laboriously converted, no longer.
I'm desperate because I've tried EVERYTHING. I find nowhere options for the touchpad (Synaptic SMBus). If I go to Device Manager, Control Panel or even the registry settings, effectively nothing for the touchpad.
The so often quoted on the Internet "Other / Additional" settings are not with me. If I change the registry entry from FlipFlop Wheel or FlipFlopScroll from 0 to 1 and restart it, nothing happens.
Do you have any ideas? I do not see any change in my over 15 years antra-trained scrolling direction just because Windows has been stooped to approve changes to the user's settings.
I hope you still have ideas that go beyond Control Panel, Device Manager and the registry entry.

So with my win10 I have a setting for the touchpad in the control panel. Since then (almost the bottom) and the scroll direction can be adjusted. Once in the start menu "Touch" enter, there should come a hit for the control panel.

I typed 'touch' and then came the menu item 'Synaptics TouchPad (App)' and if you go on it and then on settings, then you can in the new window on 'scroll with 2 fingers' the settings icon and check the tick in case of 'activate reversed direction' take out.
So even if your solution did not work out, she still directed me into an unknown menu!
