USB stick after formatting only 255 MB?

I have a 16GB USB memory stick. He worked for years with the full 16GB on my laptop.

Now I had him in my Kathrein receiver 960 sw connected and formatted there and since then he has only 255 MB of space instead of the original 16 GB.

I only have Windows XP on my computer and can't format it back to the original 16GB.

As a file system, I can only choose between FAT32 or FAT and as a storage capacity can only select 255 MB.

As size of the allocation units only standard size.

Is there any way I can get back to the original 16GB on this stick under Windows XP?

Re

I think you have a second partition with the remaining 15GB. Go into a partition manager and delete all partitions and make a new full size.

How do I go into a partition manager? BZW what exactly do I have to do under Windows XP?

Ru

In Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Disk Management> right-click to delete all partitions of the stick> Format them by right-clicking on the desired file system. - Usual for memory sticks FAT32.
