Hi. My buddy has put together a PC. Windows 10 is already on it, but we wanted to install the drivers on the mainboard CD, but it doesn't have a CD drive. Then we wanted to download it from the Internet, but he doesn't have a LAN cable because he has only used a laptop so far. Now we came up with the idea of downloading the driver files from the website onto the laptop, pushing them onto a USB stick and then connecting the USB stick to the new PC. However, we're now wondering how we can "activate" the mainboard drivers from the USB stick. They are not installed yet. Need help there.
Now we have the idea to install the driver files of the website on the laptop
Why install on the laptop? He doesn't need these drivers. Just download it, pull it onto the USB stick, copy it from there to the PC and install it on the PC.
There's a Setup.exe
Simply run it on the PC
Please read the question completely instead of stupidly quoting in the middle
Is right behind it…
If he doesn't, there's simply something wrong
? How do you mean
Oh, be cheeky too. If you don't get what I wrote, you're apparently too stupid for it. Then nobody can help you.
Every reasonably experienced person would read out that downloading the question instead of installing means that everything else would make no sense… It's not that hard to think about it minimally
There's a difference between "download" and "install". He wants to install the drivers on the laptop and then drag them to the PC, which makes absolutely no sense.
It is not a classic promise with inexperienced people…
I read it out too, but that's no reason to provoke so passively and aggressively.
I'm naughty not just factually to understand that would have taken an average experienced person 10 seconds to think you do not want to do it then you are wrong here you help each other
I don't provoke I say how it is
Just because that doesn't make sense, he can't do it. Any reasonably helpful person would explain what he is doing wrong. Instead of messing around like you.
Because you deliberately misinterpret the question
You could just say that this is probably just a mistake / confusion and just explain it again correctly
Please read the question completely instead of stupidly quoting in the middle of it
So if that's not cheeky… But apparently you have certain problems with understanding.
No it's not at most that stupid anymore and stupid is one of the nicest words, I deliberately take the gentler words in order not to offend anyone personally
I'm not deliberately misinterpreting it, I'm reading it as it is. If he didn't mean it, he can correct it. Still no reason to get so cheeky. Just because you interpret it that way, it doesn't have to be that way.
It is wrongly formulated because the questioner does not know better that is the point and what I want to tell you all the time is that after 10 seconds you can think of it yourself instead of quoting straight away if you were omniscient you would not ask here
We didn't install them on the laptop, we just got the drivers from the manufacturer's website (MSI) and then dragged them onto the USB stick. Then the USB stick is connected to the PC, but how should we start it if these are all just ZIP files.
These are all ZIP files, no Setup.exe file available.
Do you have to unzip ^^
First you have to unzip the ZIP files. To do this, simply install the free tool 7zip: https://7-zip.org/a/7z1900-x64.msi After installing it, right-click on the ZIP file. Then you can unzip it.
