I have an important question.
So, I have a Windows 10 Lapotop (HP Omen) with a second screen attached. But now, whenever I close my Lapotp, because I'd just need the big screen, all the things that are on the laptop screen, so my main screen is on the big one (the background is distorted and all the programs and date go over to the 2 screen).
Could you please help me how can I manage that the screens just stay as they are? (what happens after closing down to "nothing" does not help with this problem, my laptop stays on but the screen still goes to the big one)
I hope you can understand the question reasonably haha it's already late and I want that everything just get behind me and go to sleep.
That is normal. The laptop screen will be deactivated when closing and the laptop will only use the connected screen. This automatically turns into the main monitor, which is why things are being moved.
You could test to set the attached screen as the main monitor.
Otherwise, do not fold the laptop but just turn off the screen. This should normally be a keyboard shortcut.
Look under Control Panel → Power Options → Select what should happen when the laptop is closed → Do nothing
The dear community expert ChrisCat1 is not quite right there.
Not quite right.
So what you have guessed, he had already done, after what he writes in the question.
what happens after closing on "nothing" does not help with this problem, my laptop will remain on but the screen still goes to the big one
And here we have the answer.
The general problem here is of course that you do not see what happens on the screen, so if you open a program or similar, but that's not a problem of the answer, but the question.
My mistake, I've skipped it. Take everything back * wink
