Install Windows on notebook?

I have an HP Pavilion x2 (such a tablet PC) on which Windows 10 was running. At some point there was just a Windows bluescreen with the title "Restore" and that a device is missing (installation medium e.g. USB).

Then I created a USB installation medium from another PC and tried to install it. After weeks of trying it out with various iso files and BIOS configurations, it finally worked so far that I at least got to the Windows Setup Assistant. I'm then asked where windows should be installed and it shows me different partitions from a data carrier, which I think is my USB stick (64gb) and there's not enough space on all these partitions to install Windows (in addition, the usb stick when I look at another pc in only one partition). So somehow I don't get to install Windows on the hard drive of the PC. I have also tried a WindowsPE stick, but despite the correct boot sequence in the BIOS, the stick does not start and I only get to one error page.

Anyone have any idea what could help. If you want more dates or pictures please let me know!

The tablet PC has only 32GB of storage in some versions, so delete all partitions in the installation wizard of Windows 10 and try to install Windows.

Where can I find an option for the installation wizard? I can open a repair and a cmd during setup but otherwise I find nothing

Vi

You have to boot from the USB stick and be ready to lose all data on the tablet.

Yes i do boats from the usb stick and then i get the bluescreen pc repair… Or stop in the windows setup but it doesn't go any further. How can I now delete the partitions from the bluescreen? I don't care about the dates.

You have set the boot sequence in the BIOS to USB first.

Ch

Yes. It also boots into the windows setup via the USB stick

If your tablet PC has multiple partitions (a stick can only have one), there's also a recovery partition on it. Your manual describes how you can initiate the restore (usually with a special function key after switching on). Simply deleting the partitions would be counterproductive.

Hi, I've already tried that. The system can't find it.

PS: I just tried it. A stick can also have several partitions

Vi

What options do you have there?

Ch

USB hard disk
OS boot manager
USB CD / DVD ROM drive
Network adapter

Vi

Exchange os boot Manager with USB CD / DVD ROM drive

Ch

Does not change anything. But I've come a bit further now. The problem I'm hanging on is to format the internal hard drive

afterwards i think the installation should work

How did you create your Windows installation stick?
