I was currently teaching on Microsoft Teams Online and suddenly my camera in the laptop went off and an error message was displayed stating that the camera is not compatible. When I turned it off and on again, instead of what the camera was filming, there was only a black screen. Why is that? Can I change something in the settings so that it works again?
That sounds a bit as if the camera broke… If the normal camera app in Windows 10 shows you only a black picture, that should almost be the case:-)
On many laptops, the webcam can be switched on and off with the help of a specific F key. - Maybe you accidentally activated it.
Which key it is can be found in your user manual. - It is usually also marked with an additional camera symbol.
