I have a 10 year old laptop, now I have to use / activate the built-in webcam for the first time. However, only the external camera appears in the 'Device Manager', not the webcam. "Add device" has no result. The help videos in the network require the automatic display / detection of the webcam, so it does not help. Who can help?
Thank you for your answer! The operating system on my laptop was never changed (it was and is Windows 7 right from the start). The idea of buying a cheap stetoscope camera (including installation software) came to me so roughly that I could then get the picture with this camera. Thanks for the confirmation, and especially for the information that even the built-in webcam could appear again as a source. I should have done this until today, but now is around Easter. I can do it myself (with your support tip).
