Laptop clicks everything 2 times?

I've had a laptop for a long time and everything worked fine but a few weeks ago my laptop clicked on its own all of a sudden say I'm going to a file and it's clicked twice. I also tried the laptop mouse and bought a new mouse but it still is. If it is the system what can you do?

Select My Computer, then Folder Options.
Then select "General," and then pay attention to items as follows: The option Open by double-clicking (single-click selection) is selected.
