I have a little problem. I connected my laptop to a second screen (old TV) via an HDMI cable.
Now I want to, but over extra speaker music to run and it just is not.
I've already checked everything in the system settings and there everything is right.
If I unplug the HDMI cable from my laptop, then it works.
How can I get it to work with HDMI cable as well?
PS: About the old TV screen comes synonymous no sound.
Ever tried with an AUX cable?
If you click on your volume icon in the Tasskleiste, the name of the selected device would have to be in the field above. There you simply select your device to use.
That has the loudspeaker, but I need for my work 2 screens and my laptop has only one HDMI input
Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately it did not work
Aja. Your laptop has an HDMI input via which you want to plug in a 2nd screen
Aux connection, so for headphones
What does not work? Is it perhaps a little closer?
I used it, but it does not work
Hmm, I'm over-polled, sry!
That works too
No problem, thanks anyway
Wonder me…
I connected my laptop to an old TV screen via an HDMI cable. Now I want to connect a speaker to my laptop to listen to music and the music does not work.
I already know that. But if you do what I wrote up there, you just said it's not working.
So:
If you change the device. What happens then? Is there the right device and you can't hear anything anymore? Is the device not listed there? Is the device listed there, but you can't dial it? If the device is listed, you can choose it, but the sound is about something else?
Express yourself more exactly. Otherwise nobody can help you.
Thanks, I've got it now
What you describe, I do with my MacBook, it works like this:
The HDMI cable transmits the image signal but no sound. It's just like that, at least with Apple. Therefore, I connect via the headphone output with an adapter to the stereo system.
