My laptop opens new tabs as soon as I'm on the Internet (browser doesn't matter) and wants to enter something. Depending on which key I press, either a search field opens in which I can't enter anything, my browser history, the favorites list or a new tab. How can I undo this and enter something as normal?
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the phenomenon you described.
More generally only the following:
1. There are usually permanently assigned shortcuts (short keystrokes) related to browsers in Windows 10, e.g.
F5 Refresh view
F11 Exit full screen
F12 Switch off the developer environment in the browser
Ctrl + T Open a new tab in the browser
Ctrl + L go to the address bar
Ctrl + W close browser tab
Ctrl + Tab jump to the next tab.
2. If windows or programs open immediately when you type a letter on the keyboard, you can try the following:
Restart: Switch the computer off and on again / restart. Often it helps.
Unplug the USB keyboard from the computer and connect it to a different USB port
Deactivate the snap-in function that was activated by mistake: To do this, press the caps lock key again (usually left throws above the shift key.)
3. Your keyboard may also be defective or there may be a problem with the keyboard driver. (→ https://www.giga.de/...o-geht-s/)
4. This could also be caused by a computer virus.
