I'm struggling with a problem that has existed for some time. My PC doesn't have an SD card reader, which is why I connect the SD card from my camera and my external hard drive to my laptop via USB. There I then transfer the data to the hard drive.
Unfortunately those files (or the folder) are gone when I reconnect my hard drive to my computer. According to the MiniTool Power Data Recovery, the files are also available on the hard disk, but just deleted / invisible / defective / etc. According to the PC, the hard drive is not defective, just that I can't '' safely remove '' it (according to the laptop, files are still open, but no software is open, not even via Task Manager). Can someone help me?
Test 1: Turn off the laptop before removing the hard drive.
I always do so that I can safely remove them.
OK. - We therefore rule out that the files are not saved correctly by simply unplugging them.
Unfortunately, that doesn't make it easier.
How did you find out that the HDD is not defective?
