Vacuum cleaner robot as a gift for parents at Christmas?

I just want to hear your opinion!

I know, yesterday I already had a question with the title: "PC as a present for parents at Christmas?" asked, but that is quite a bit of money, I would have thought now that a vacuum cleaner robot eig. A cool idea would be?

This also costs a lot of money, but is still not as expensive as a good PC / laptop.

Only we have a problem "at home". Our "rooms / rooms" are always separated by steps, which would recognize the robot then of course and then only one room would suck and then he can't automatically move to the next room! Is such a robot really worth it, if you always have to "carry" it to the next room?

Fashion hype, I would leave it. The things are not able to clean well on the floor, they stick to edges and corners and chairs, and if you have to clear out the whole building, you can also vacuum them manually. In the corners, where the part does not come, you have to suck in manually anyway.

Why does it have to be technology / electronics, with dubious benefits. If the parents want or need a calculator, then a robotic vacuum cleaner is no substitute. Cheap laptops can also be overhauled by notebooksbilliger.de. If you have nothing to do with internet, that would be a different matter. Do you want? Are you already "in"?

And why would a cheap tablet not be a solution?

Best invention ever. I let my nipple suck room by room anyway, then you have the better control that a room is finished, so the story with the stairs does not matter at all.

And no, he does not fall down stairs, he also drives over carpet edges and is very thorough. I was deeply shocked by what the robot has sucked away from the supposedly clean floor.

Obviously you have no idea about it or never used one.

What's your take on a vacuum cleaner robot?

Pi

So I have a vacuum robot, or already the second.

1x Roomba and once Neato.

Our SR ensures that the apartment makes a clean impression in the evening. (we have bright tiles).

Of course it is not as wiped and sucked, but it is very good for the optics.

You really need to have ground-floor rooms without steps, then I can recommend that.
