I watch too much cell phone and laptop, and I'm afraid that something will happen to me soon (I'm going blind or something).
I thought I found a solution, always from 1:30 p.m. To 2:00 p.m. And from 5:30 p.m. To 6:00 p.m. I go to bed and close my eyes and just try to fall asleep, sometimes I also listen to music. Now I also read a book during this time instead of resting.
But I'm still scared…
My mother said I should set an alarm clock and only watch my cell phone / laptop for half an hour or at least 45 minutes a day, but I just can't help it…
Does anyone know what I could do? And does that actually bring me something to rest twice a day for half an hour?
Many thanks!
PS:
I'm 12, have a birthday in 11 days (May 11) and will be 13
You don't go blind (or anything).
If you still bother, just do other things.
If you want to do something for your eyes, go outside. On a laptop, smartphone or while reading, your eyes only adjust to seeing nearby. You can be short-sighted from that. The eye must also look into the distance regularly and long enough.
I'm already nearsighted.
There are millions, if not billions, of people staring at a screen for over 10 hours a day. It is certainly not healthy, but if everyone became blind, humanity in general would have a big problem.
We live in the age of digitization. Without a screen is unthinkable for professional life, universities, but it will most likely also soon be for schools.
I'm also grateful that we can use this technology, without regular exchanges with my friends I would go crazy in the days of Corona. Can be fixed thanks to mobile phone / tablet.
Whether you need glasses is part of the genes. I know people who have glasses, but are nowhere near as long as I'm on the screen, where I don't wear glasses.
There are also far worse things than glasses. I'm even considering buying a certain one simply because I think it would fit my style quite well. Then of course without strength.
I have nothing against my glasses, my relatives and friends / teachers say they suit me well, I think so too.
Still, you should go out. Read this through:

I also think that glasses do not pull down the optical. And as I said, don't worry about it. However, a 45-minute homeworkout or something like that would not be a bad change instead of a 45-minute mobile phone. Generally hold for the body.
You are well on your way to becoming addicted, or you already are.
Only the doctor can help. Go to your pediatrician or general practitioner and get a referral to a psychologist.
Another possibility is of course your own will. Reading a book is good, but it is seeing nearby again.
If you want to have a small chance that myopia will not be as bad, go outside for at least 2 hours every day.
Your parents are responsible for you at your age, which means that they have to take your cell phone and laptop away, even if you are doing theater.
Addicted?
I don't mean mean but that's a little over the top.
every 11 year old child feels on the cell phone all day nowadays this has become normal.
So first of all you don't need to have such worries. It's kind of normal nowadays that every child is only on the cell phone all day.
can still recommend eye drops, the damage never
