My old Sims 4 doesn't work (rather it doesn't let me log in.) So I want to buy it new. Can I buy it for the second time and play it on the same laptop I used to play the old sims? (but separate origin account then)
You can do it, but I would rather try to log in again and save the money.
Now it just doesn't work because my data has expired and my account doesn't seem to exist. (Or it doesn't send email)

Yes, I changed, read out. And if you have the 10 euro over that is really a good deal.
Yes I uninstalled the sims 4 game and origin anyway (sims 4 is still backed up) so I can now buy the new one myself
Yes, you would even have the old saves as long as you didn't delete the Sims 4 folder.
But that's a completely new version / disc. Only the game is the same.
However, the scores are saved on the computer. All accounts access these saves. I also had Sims on my parents' machine. Then I bought my own and copied my saved data to there. Now my brother is playing there with another account and has my scores. All the stuff I used from the expansion packs is gone because it doesn't have any.
