More Hz = more power needed?

I have a 120hz monitor and am wondering whether my laptop with a 1050ti needs more power when operating at 120hz than at 60hz

One can't generalize like this. It depends on how powerful the chip is and what processing density it has. Surely it will need a little more electricity.
