I'm an absolute NOT-computer expert and have removed this definitely defective hard drive (photo) from my laptop myself with a lot of effort. The laptop is a Lenovo G780 (i7) Model 2182 and the broken hard drive is shown in the photo. A colleague said that I should no longer buy an HDD, because it would be more vulnerable than the new hard drives. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much of a clue either. What inexpensive alternative would there be to the old, defective hard drive in the photo? Thanks in advance. Oh, what framework do I need for the future hard drive since it got away?
Is ssd and if your socket does not fit then it is stupid but should go hdd is cheaper and actually ok
Ne small SSD with the same form factor.
Or another HDD.
Small SSDs (250gb) or less usually cost less than 50 euro. Of course, it depends so little on the make and ne M.2. You won't get SSD in there anyway.
HDDs are cheaper in terms of storage space.
What exactly do you need?
A SATA SSD, of course.
It would be important to know how much space you want.
You should look at the format of your HDD and then clearly buy a SATA SSS.
I actually only need it as storage for writing stuff. Nothing complicated or super fast, no games or anything.
As much as the one in the photo above? I still have a backup of the broken hard drive. Does the broken hard drive have 750GB or am I wrong?
What format is it in my photo?
And what is the "form factor"?
I can recommend the Samsung Evo. A little more expensive than comparable, but very reliable.
Samsung MZ-76E1T0B / EU 860 EVO 1 TB SATA 2.5 "Internal SSD Black https://www.amazon.de/...078WST5RK/
Notebooks generally have 2.5 inch hard drives.
I found this frame maybe it is the right
