Can't find HDD from old Lenovo laptop?

Yes hello

I bought a used PC (without a hard drive) and asked the seller if I could also install and use my hard drive (with Windows 10) from my old Lenovo in it. He answered yes and I took the pc with me. Before I wanted to remove the hard drive from my Lenovo laptop, I first checked whether it was still possible. It worked perfectly and then I removed it and installed it in the PC. When I checked all the cables, I started the PC. The screen said that the hard drive could not be found. I then checked the wiring again and restarted the PC. And the same thing came again. What should I do?

I'm thankful for every answer

If the hard drive is also recognized in the BIOS and is it entered there, maybe you still have a CD in the drive?

Gr

It can be a deeper cable problem, for example directly on the mainboard

Co

Immediately after starting, press the F2 key (several times) and look in the BIOS once to see whether the hard disk is recognized at all.

Otherwise try another Sata cable, they sometimes break.

There's no hard drive specified but thanks for the answer

It is not shown there and there's no cd in the drive

What can I do against it?

Gr

Take the laptop for repair. As a layperson it is difficult because "just something to repair"
