I ordered a new internal monitor for my laptop (toshiba satellite pro c50-a-1em) because the old one was broken inside. However, the laptop gives no sign of life when the monitor is connected. The light does not even light up when the charger is connected. As soon as you pull out the video cable, it works perfectly…
Maybe check the bios to see if everything is correct.
Which cable, HDMI or VGA?
Internal monitor
I once set in the BIOS that it should only use the internal LCD monitor, which unfortunately did not work.
So changed?
Yes
The monitor cable is probably causing a short circuit, which prevents the laptop from turning on.
The cable (flat ribbon) sits in a plug, must fit exactly, here I suspect the error.
Another source of error could be a screw with which the display was screwed down and "somehow" damaged a cable.
Is it possible to take a picture of the cable and its connection?
