As a rule, only HDMI-Out connections are installed in laptops. For your project to work, you would need an HDMI-In connection.
In most laptops there's actually only one HDMI out installed, so this is not possible natively.
You can still do that with a capture card
Few laptops have HDMI inputs, most only have outputs.
