Microphone quieter without moving?

I have a laptop and use the built-in microphone which always worked well. But from one day to the next, the volume in Discord has decreased. Even if I change the volume in the settings, it doesn't get louder. I also selected the right microphone and turned it up. I did not change anything before

The way I see it, there's a volume control in operation. This is to prevent the signal from becoming too large and therefore distorted. Anywhere under properties something with limiter or auto volume? If you increase the volume and nothing happens, it will be reduced again. Then you have to see where that happens. I can't say more about it.
