For ab, I know that is what most people ask on technick sites, but I don't understand a word if someone wants to explain it to me…
So, my problem is this:
So far I've always connected a second monitor to my laptop and expanded the display. So far it worked great, but since yesterday it just doesn't work anymore… I updated my laptop and tried to restart the devices and plugged in the cable again and everything is still not working. I can either view the display on one or the other monitor, but whenever I want to select Expand display, it immediately jumps back to "only see on screen 1" and it says in yellow that my settings could not be saved…
I sincerely hope for help and thank you now for trying to explain my problem to me
I'm assuming that the screen itself works perfectly on another PC and that you have already tried a different screen cable. If not, then make up for it.
Could be a problem with the graphics card driver or a hardware problem. With luck, only one chip on your graphics card will hang. Then a reset of the laptop usually helps. In most cases, pulling the power cable and removing the battery for a few seconds is enough to discharge all the capacitors. If the battery is permanently installed, various manufacturers have tricks such as pulling the power cable, switching off the laptop, then holding the power button down for 30 seconds. This simulates the "battery pull" (it is definitely the case with HP).
Thank you for your prompt reply
I just took out the battery and then restarted. I do not know why it was not shown to me the last time I restarted, but apparently my Internet only half installed an update and then something went wrong 😬 now it is definitely working again thanks
It is important that he has caught himself again - thanks for the feedback.
