Is there Quickcam 8.4.8 for Windows 10?

I have the "QuickCam for Notebooks Pro (Black) V-UJ15861099" webcam from Logitech and for this you need the driver called "Quickcam 8.4.8". The official site says that it is not available for Windows 10. Are there unofficial working versions or can I use the webcam in any other way?

Win10 has the "Camera" app for webcams - see start menu.

And what exactly does that have to do with the question? I'm looking for a specific driver or its Win 10 version and you explain to me that there's an app with which you can take photos and that is preinstalled on Windows?!

Ru

Maybe I didn't express myself clearly.
You can take photos and videos with this app, just like with a smartphone.
What are your other plans?

In order for the webcam to be recognized, connect it and restart the PC, ie: select "Restart" in the switch-off menu.
Usually it is automatically recognized by Windows when it is restarted and a (probably a Logitech) driver is installed.
It is then displayed in the device manager under "Image processing devices.

How else do you want to operate a webcam from the XP era on Win10? - It only works as described above.

Op

Apparently Windows can't find a driver for it. I thought it might be possible to manually install an unofficial version to use as a driver

I looked here: https://support.logi.com/hc/de/categories/360001764493-Webcams-und-Kamerasysteme after your camera.

Of the numerous QuickCams, there are only drivers for max Win7, if any. - From my own experience, I know that they can't be installed on Win10.

For your QuickCam there's only the way I described above
Have you checked the device manager to see if it appears there after a restart?
It should be displayed there, as in this example
