Dent in the new Macbook?

It wasn't until a few hours after unpacking that I noticed that there was a small dent / scratch on the side of my MacBook. It couldn't have been me, because immediately after unpacking I put it carefully on the table and didn't even carry it around, etc. I got the MacBook from an electronics shop near me. They ordered it first and then I picked it up. It couldn't have been the transport, because there are no traces on the box. Can the shop send it back to Apple and have the laptop replaced? I heard Apple is very meticulous and first lets check everything from where this dent comes from and that is very time-consuming. What should I do? The MacBook cost almost 2,000 euro and that the small dent bothers me must be understandable.

Go to the store, show them that, show them the receipt and request an exchange.

If they don't, they'll have to refund you as the laptop is likely still under warranty.

You can't get broken goods without a replacement or compensation.
