Use your old cell phone as a retrofit for printers?

I have an iPhone 6s left and I would like to use it to make my non-Wi-Fi-enabled printer Wi-Fi-capable or Bluetooth I have no idea but Wi-Fi is what I need because I would like to

let several Windows laptops automatically print things out wirelessly on the printer. It would be better if Android and Apple phones could do the same. It would of course be perfect if you could send scans from the device to the devices wirelessly. Is there an app or a program that can do that? The multifunctional device, which I probably incorrectly called the printer all the time, is a Canon Sensys MF8350cdn and the devices Windows 10 laptops a MacBook several iPhones and Xiaomi cell phones and iPads.

This device has only one USB and several network connections. The only way I can think of this has nothing to do with smartphones, the printer can be connected to a LAN port of the WLAN router (such as a Fritzbox) using a LAN cable and then set up as a WLAN printer in the router. Unfortunately, the scanner function does not work with the Fritzbox, so far I have not found a solution.

I would have to pull a lankabel through several floors, isn't that somehow different? With or without the cell phone? Or is the printer LAN-capable, so if I put a Wi-Fi repeater down there, can everything work as described above for me, that is, wirelessly?
