Macbook Air (with M1Chip) 16 GB RAM or would you prefer Macbook Pro (with M1Chip) 16 GB Ram?

I'm starting my training as an IT assistant after my summer (with the double qualification of the FHR) and wanted to buy my first Macbook because I think it fulfills all of my requirements for a new laptop.

• high quality housing✅

• good battery life✅

• powerful✅

• quiet✅

• durable (4-5 years) ✅

• stable in value (that you get money out afterwards if you sell it XD) ✅

Besides that, it would also be an advantage if I could edit videos with it reasonably well.

My question now would be Macbook Air (with M1Chip) 16 GB RAM or would you prefer Macbook Pro (with M1Chip) 16 GB Ram?

Or would 8GB Ram be enough 🤔?
