Macbook air, dvd inserted but no picture, only sound?

I watch DVDs more often on my laptop, but when I've just filmed a movie, you only hear the sound, but I can't see the picture. What happened?

Quicktime, or DVD player has its quirks.

In case of problems use MPlayer (Appstore) or VLC.
