Graphics card is underutilized?

I like to play demanding games that run smoothly on my new laptop. However, during a game it is not used to full capacity (only 50%) and therefore I don't get that good performance. It would be great if someone could help me.

Probably the game uses more CPU and bottlenecks the graphics card. How does the CPU load look like in the game and which game is it anyway?
