How does Gimp work on a laptop?

I'm just starting out and would like to know how to turn your layer (layout) etc

Decrease:

Menu - Layer - Scale Layer
or use the scaling tool in the toolbox

move:

Take the move tool in the toolbox

rotate:

Menu - level - transformation
or take the turning tool in the toolbox
