Today I wanted to set up my new laptop (honor magicbook pro). Then I connected the router and the Dlan adapter (Devolo 550) for the Internet. However, they have no access to the Internet. With other devices that are already connected, everything works fine. Nothing was possible with the new laptop via LAN either. Even after manually entering the IP, dns… It still didn't work. Does anyone have any idea why that could be?
I.e. The Devolos can't get a connection to the Internet?
Devolo with cable to router
Switch router to DHCP
The Devolos are normally already synchronized with each other
Register the notebook to the WLAN from the second devolo
Are the DLANs connected to the same phase or do you have a phase coupler?
Have you already connected the laptop directly to the router?
Use DHCP, as Michael has already written.
Phase?
DHCP means so much that IP and something runs automatically right? And yes connected to the router via LAN but still no internet access
Ok, then we already know that your devolo PowerLine system is probably innocent.
If we now assume that the LAN port of your router and the LAN cable are working (please swap both times, if you haven't already), the only source of error is your laptop.
Are the necessary drivers installed there?
Does the Windows Troubleshooter say anything?
The Devolos have a connection to the internet. Only my laptop somehow not via the Devolo to the internet. But my cell phone via the same Devolo does. It didn't work on the router either. During the troubleshooting I got this error message "The computer is apparently configured correctly but the device or the resource is responding". What could help?
When troubleshooting the problem, the following error message came up: "The computer is apparently configured correctly, but the device or the resource is responding". Then I uninstalled the driver (as recommended by Microsoft) and entered various commands (also recommended by Microsoft) in the command prompt. https://support.microsoft.com/...07eee84d2c
under network troubleshooting…
You probably did a restart after all the fuss.
As a last resort, the reset is tried again, let's see if it works. If not, I'll switch to another network and see if it works
The reset did nothing either. Is it possible that the laptop is simply broken, or would it not even detect a network in the first place?
I have never had such a problem and am now overwhelmed by it.
All that remains is the support from Honor (or Microsoft), an IT specialist from your area who would switch on via TeamViewer or a special forum.
You may be able to exchange the device (?).
OK, thanks anyway
