IPhone transfer images quickly?

And indeed I have the following problem. I have around 5,000 pictures on my iPhone and would like to transfer them to my Windows laptop. For this I connect my mobile phone to my laptop via USB cable. However, the transfer of the DCMI's folder crashes every time and / or the transfer just takes way too long (several hours). Is there a faster way?

Do not use an eighteenth-century Windows laptop, it would not take that long with USB 3.0.

Alternative: Go to iCloud Fotomediathek.

Look at whether your computer is a USB port, which is blue when you look purely. And then you just look sometimes faster. Otherwise, you could copy the pictures just partially over.
